RPKI and ROV Workshop

Synopsis
Route hijacking, misconfigurations, and route leaks are attacks to Internet routing that can cause major disruptions. What can we do to address and mitigate them and help secure the Internet? In this hands-on tutorial, we will discuss the problem with Internet routing and the available tools and techniques. The course covers RPKI framework, ROA creation, deploying RPKI validators and configuring routers for ROV.
Target Audience
- Entry and/or mid level technical staff of ISP, network operators or enterprise, who are involved in day-to-day network operation function.
Pre-requisites
- It is assumed that participants have a basic understanding of network operations, Internet technologies, OSI reference model, TCP/IP, Server OS i.e. Unix, Linux etc

Requirements
- Hardware: It is highly recommended that participants bring their own laptop computers with WiFi (b/g/n) and a pre-installed desktop virtualization tool like VirtualBox or VMware on their machines.
- Software: SSH/Telnet Client, VirtualBox/VMware
