Routing Workshop

  • This is a technical workshop, made up of lectures and hands-on lab work focusing on traffic engineering skills required for network operators to peer at an Internet Exchange Point (IXP), and to understand best practices around setting up an IXP.

Target Audience

  • Network operators who plan to or are already connected at Internet Exchange Point, or plans to setup an IXP.


  • It is assumed that the workshop participants are familiar with router command line interface, and have good working knowledge of IGP (OSPF or ISIS) and BGP fundamentals. This workshop is not an introduction to routing. The lab exercises use Cisco IOS configuration syntax.
