Synopsis
- This tutorial will introduce fundamental Internet concepts and technologies.
- The lectures will look at IP routing concepts, explore basic Router architecture, and wrap up with how the Internet works.
- The hands-on exercises and labs will cover basic subnetting and how to build an OSPF network.
Target Audience
- Anyone interested in learning how the Internet works, and understand the different pieces that make up the Internet.
Pre-requisites
It is assumed that participants have a basic understanding of:
- Internet technologies, OSI reference model and TCP/IP.
- The lab exercises use Cisco IOS configuration syntax.

Other Requirements
- Hardware: It is highly recommended that participants bring their own laptop computers with Wifi(b/g/n) and administrative access to system to practice the lessons learned during the workshops.
- Software: SSH Client, Telnet Client (PuTTy)
