Network & Information Security Tutorial (PCTA 2022)

Synopsis
Information Security is a broad topic, and as such this training course will look at a variety of topics covering theory, technical controls, and organisational best practices. Each topic is covered from basics to intermediate level that aims to educate and challenge participants.
The tutorial is a customisation of some of the modules that are in the 5-day Network and Information security workshop that are delivered by APNIC.
Target Audience
- System/Network Engineers, Network Managers and Operators, and Security policy makers who are interested in network security and want to gain an understanding of Cyber security.
Pre-requisites
It is assumed that participants have a basic understanding of:
- network operations, Internet technologies, OSI reference model and TCP/IP.
- Basic Linux command line (CLI) skills.
