IPv6 Deployment Workshop

Synopsis
IP addresses are a core part of how the Internet operates. With IPv4 almost reaching exhaustion, IPv6 networks have become quite common. This is a hands-on tutorial focusing on deployment of IPv6 on IP core networks, Including network infrastructure design principles, dual stack deployment, transition mechanisms, and security considerations.
Target Audience
- Entry and/or mid level technical staff of ISP, network operators or enterprise, who are involved in day-to-day network operation function.
Pre-requisites
It is assumed that the workshop participants know how to use a router command line interface, do basic router configuration and have a working knowledge of an IGP (OSPF) and BGP fundamentals. Knowledge of the IPv6 protocol is helpful but not essential. This workshop is not an introduction. The lab exercises use Cisco IOS configuration syntax.

Requirements
- Hardware: It is highly recommended that participants bring their own laptop computers with WiFi (b/g/n) and a pre-installed desktop virtualization tool like VirtualBox or VMware on their machines.
- Software: SSH/Telnet Client, VirtualBox/VMware
