DWDM Open Tutorial

Synopsis

This tutorial covers the basics of DWDM technology. A brief introduction to the terminologies and elements related to DWDM will be discussed. It will help the audiences to get further understanding on how DWDM operates.
It will also discuss different aspects which are essential for planning and operating a DWDM network. Different operational tools are also discussed. Also two case studies will be discussed along with diagrams to explain troubleshooting procedures for the DWDM network.

Target Audience

This tutorial is catered for network operators who wish to understand more on DWDM and optical transmission networks.

Pre-requisites

This tutorial assumes that participants have some basic understanding of networking and Optical Transmission Network.

Online - Participants are advised to bring their own laptop or desktop computers with high-speed internet access and administrative access to system. It is also recommended that computers have Intel i5 or i7 processor, >=8GB of RAM and 30GB of free hard disk space.
